The Waste Management Unit, which is part of the Urban Planning Administration, manages and maintains Uppsala Municipality's geographical areas. You take responsibility and drive your work forward to achieve results and are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work. Furthermore, you are flexible and have the ability to see opportunities in changes. We also see that you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. You have a holistic perspective to lead a group where differences in background, language, and previous life experiences present challenges. The position may involve weekend work.

Job Description

We are looking for supervisors who take responsibility for labor market employees in Waste Management in Uppsala Municipality and work as waste management staff. The daily work mainly consists of working as a waste collector and supervising individuals working with litter picking, weed removal, various cleaning tasks of public areas, and some maintenance of public objects. The tasks may vary within the different geographical areas. Your assignment also includes pedagogical leadership and support and documentation of personal development for the participants. The assignment is in collaboration with AMF.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a B driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience in pedagogical work with people and digital competence is considered an advantage.

As a person, you are calm and composed in different situations and can focus on the right things. You collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. Additionally, you have an understanding of people's different abilities to absorb knowledge in various ways.
