JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference for the residents of Gävle! As a nurse within the Health and Medical Care office, you have a significant and prominent role, where your competence is valued, and you become a daily hero for many of Gävle's residents. Help make Gävle safer with us!

In your role as a nurse, you will work night shifts in a team with another nurse. You will work within the Health and Medical Care office with patients living in Gävle Municipality's care and nursing homes, patients enrolled in municipal home care, and within LSS and social psychiatry. You will perform planned health and medical care interventions and conduct assessments both on-site and via phone. You will provide advice over the phone to patients, relatives, and care staff in home care and at Gävle Municipality's care and nursing homes. You will belong to one of our area offices.

You will work preventively to promote the customer's health and well-being and will be responsible for medical assessments and documentation. You contribute to maintaining high quality. The work leads to development due to varied tasks that also require you to be confident in your nursing role.

In your work, you will communicate with both internal and external contacts in a respectful, attentive, and empathetic manner. We work with a holistic view of the patient to provide the best possible care, where you have your strength.

The position is scheduled for night shifts, and you will work every other weekend. We may conduct ongoing interviews during the application period.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse who is confident working independently at night. You should have previous experience as a nurse and hold a B driver's license and driving experience. You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you are a district nurse or have specialized training in elderly care (geriatrics). You should have experience with documentation, and it is desirable if you are familiar with Treserva, TES, Lifecare, and NPÖ.

In your role as a nurse, you need to prioritize what needs to be done. You are efficient and use resources in the best way to achieve good results. We appreciate if you take initiative, are courageous, and have the ability to distinguish between issues and people. You have the ability to find alternative solutions to arising problems. We offer you a varied job that requires you to be flexible and quickly adapt and make decisions based on the needs of the patient and the organization. You conduct your work in a patient-safe manner and take initiative and responsibility for your tasks.

As you are the link to relatives and other care staff, you are skilled at creating and maintaining good relationships, both internally and externally. You have an unpretentious approach in your collaboration with others. It is easy for you to adapt and be flexible in different situations, and you have the ability to change your perspective and approach. You see opportunities in changes and have a good attitude.
