RESPONSIBILITIES

As a staff member in Disability Services, the tasks may vary depending on which workplace you have. Central to the work is that you provide support, service, and care to people with disabilities. The fundamental idea is that everyone should have the opportunity to live under the same conditions - regardless of disability.

• As a support assistant, you work in a group home or service housing in the municipality. The tasks can range from care, health and medical tasks, household chores, escorting in the community, and support for leisure activities both at home and outside the residence.
• A short-term accommodation aims to offer leisure activities while providing relief for parents. Here, the target group is primarily children and young adults.
• As a personal assistant, you work in the person's own home based on the individual's needs and wishes. Here, the work involves both care and enabling participation in community life.
• Housing support workers operate within social psychiatry, either in a residence or in the individual's own home. The work aims to motivate independence and strengthen the person's ability to structure their daily life.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with people. Respect for each person's needs and wishes, along with attentiveness and empathy, are important qualities. It is highly meritorious if you have ongoing or completed education in health and care. It is also an advantage if you have previously worked with people in any capacity.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Our vacation periods are between weeks 25-34, and that is when we need staff. There are good opportunities to start working as a substitute before the summer.

We will arrange a training day that you need to attend if you work at any of our units. The training sessions include fire safety training, rehabilitation information, and operational information.

References will be taken immediately after the phone interview, and our guidelines for references require that they must be individuals who have held a leadership position towards you, such as a supervisor, mentor, or manager. References must also be from the last two years. We do not accept colleagues, friends, or family members as references.
