What is it like to work with us?

This is how nurse Alice describes her work on the cardiology and medicine department: "Working on the cardiology and medicine department is educational and interesting as no day is like the other. We care for patients who are not only heart patients but have many different diagnoses, which gives you a broad competence regarding various medical conditions. We work in teams, which suits me as I am relatively new to the profession since I always have people around me to ask, get help, and support from".

Your Responsibilities

On the cardiology and medicine department, we provide care around the clock for patients with medical conditions. Our specialty function is patients with various heart diseases where we have the opportunity for telemetry monitoring. With us, you will have a broad foundation in your practice as a nurse. We receive our patients from the emergency department and from other hospitals, both within the region and from other regions. As a nurse, you will be part of a team with other professionals where the focus is on the best for the patients.

As a security for you, we have a supervising nurse whose main task is to support and guide all other staff in the daily care work. This function is highly appreciated by both novice and experienced staff.

We have professional development during working hours in the form of training every other week. We believe it is important to be able to develop within the profession to thrive, and we also value joy at work to create a better work environment.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is in their final semester of nursing studies or who is a licensed nurse. To thrive with us, you prefer a varied work pace where no shift is like the other. You are secure, stable, can easily adapt to different situations, and have good collaboration skills. You plan, organize, and prioritize your workday for the best of the patients.

You have a good empathetic ability, are meticulous, and care about working with quality in a goal-oriented way. You enjoy being part of a cross-professional team with a focus on the patients, where all professional groups learn from each other. You are curious, take your own initiatives, and want to be part of developing the operations.

As a new nurse on the cardiology and medicine department, you will be offered individual onboarding, whether you are new to the profession or have worked for a few years. Since you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. In the selection process, we place great importance on personal qualities.
