Do you want to help create the best possible conditions for sports, movement, and community in Älvkarleby Municipality?

We are now looking for an engaged sports caretaker who wants to contribute to ensuring that our football fields, ice rink, and sports facilities maintain high quality and are welcoming to both associations and the public.

As a sports caretaker, you will be an important part of the Park Group within the Technical Department. You will work with the operation, care, and maintenance of our sports facilities, with a particular focus on football fields and the ice rink. The work is varied and takes place both indoors and outdoors, year-round.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of sports facilities, which requires your structured and quality-conscious work style. As part of our team, it is important that you are flexible and have good collaboration skills to meet various needs and expectations from both colleagues and citizens. Your service-oriented approach ensures that you always prioritize the department's mission towards the citizens. Tasks

Your work will be varied and clearly oriented towards creating a safe and pleasant environment for our associations and citizens.

Your main tasks will include:

• Care and maintenance of football fields, ice rink, and other sports areas
• Ordering materials and service work
• Machine operation, minor repairs, and servicing of the facility's equipment
• Snow removal, ice control, and ice maintenance during the winter season
• Lawn mowing, lining, and other field maintenance during the summer season
• Daily contact with associations, schools, and the public
• Participate in other tasks within the park group as needed

Conditions

• Working hours: Full-time, shift work may occur, and working hours may vary with evening and weekend work based on operational needs.

• Competence requirements: High school education or equivalent competence in the field. Experience in the operation and maintenance of sports facilities. Familiarity with handling machines such as lawn mowers, tractors, etc. Knowledge of property maintenance is an advantage.
