We are looking for a nurse for Polhemsgården in Solna, a nursing home with a focus on dementia. As a nurse, you will have the medical and care responsibility for our residents. We consider it an advantage if you have experience as a nurse in elderly care.

About the role

You are the spider in the web regarding the health and medical care efforts for the residents and work to provide quality of life. You are responsible for ensuring that medical prescriptions are followed. You regularly conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure good quality in the operations.

Collaboration and support

An important role for you is to coach and educate the care staff so that together you provide each resident with the best possible life. In this, you work closely with the group leaders responsible for the care staff. Our group leaders also coach and work together with the teams in daily operations.

Getting to know the residents

Understanding the residents' wishes and noticing small changes in their health and medical conditions is often crucial for accurate assessments and decisions.

Clear routines

To create security and clarity for you as a nurse, there is extensive support in the form of practical and easily applicable routines, governing documents, and checklists. Our quality management system is called Qualimax and is industry-leading.

As a new nurse with us, you will participate in our digital introduction program together with your mentor to ensure that you receive a clear introduction aimed at quickly getting into the work and our routines.

About Polhemsgården

Polhemsgården in Solna consists of 80 apartments with a dementia focus and the day activity center Lyktan. Polhemsgården has nature and garden as its profile. Outdoor activities and activities in nature, parks, and gardens are natural parts of our everyday life. We work based on different nature themes throughout the year.

Dementia certification

We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that all of us who work here are trained in dementia and response through the Dementia Academy and Silviahemmet.

Young Care

We have a collaboration with the company Young Care. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Young Care engages in various activities together with us who work here, to enhance the quality of life for the residents.

Your experience and knowledge

You are a licensed nurse, and we would like you to have worked for a few years in elderly care. Our residents are often multi-sick, which requires you to have both broad knowledge of various diseases and conditions as well as an interest in the aging person. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important.
