The Psychiatric Emergency Department in Helsingborg is located at Helsingborg Hospital next to the other emergency departments. We work around the clock to receive and assess acutely psychiatric patients aged 18 and older. Our unit consists of nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and doctors with strong competence and extensive experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse, you will have a varied and exciting job where the patient is the focus. Your responsibilities include care and treatment of acutely ill patients. Since no two days are alike and the influx of patients varies, you will plan your work based on the day's conditions. You will work independently but can always receive support and help from colleagues. The work is characterized by exciting patient encounters in a sometimes fast-paced environment. A good approach with care and respect towards both patients and their relatives is an important part of the job. The responsibilities also include telephone counseling where you meet people who need advice and guidance. We have a well-established and extensive collaboration with various authorities such as social services, police, and correctional services.

As a new employee, you will receive an individually tailored introduction and guidance from experienced and secure staff. We continuously work to improve our care within our operations, and everyone in the workgroup plays an important role in this. We also value professional development and therefore offer training both internally and externally.

The working hours are scheduled at 38.25 hours/week with a combination of day and evening shifts. Night work may also occur. We offer a wish schedule, which means you have a great opportunity to influence your own working hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Specialist training in and/or experience in psychiatric care is an advantage. Experience with the Melior journal system is also considered an asset.

This position is for you who prioritize the patient's best interest and enjoy a varied workday. As a person, you can work independently and have a good ability to collaborate.
