Technician in Refurbishment of Manual Wheelchairs
We are now looking for technicians for the refurbishment of manual wheelchairs at the Assistive Technology Center in Mölndal.

About the Position
We are looking for a meticulous and practical technician who wants to work with the refurbishment of manual wheelchairs. Your work is an important part of our production chain – the wheelchairs you complete are sent to external customers or to our internal technicians for adjustments. In this role, you will work both independently and together with your colleagues to solve various tasks. These include:
- Refurbishment of manual wheelchairs according to our quality requirements and production goals
- Ensuring that the products are ready for delivery
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals
- Participating in improvement work
- Assisting other units within the Assistive Technology Center as needed
To provide good service in the role of technician, you need to:
- Have a technical interest and enjoy working practically
- Be meticulous, structured, and efficient
- Be motivated to achieve set goals and enjoy working results-oriented
- Thrive in an environment that is developing and improving
You have a high school diploma or equivalent work experience that the employer deems equivalent. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good computer skills and experience working with various IT systems. Since the position involves walking and standing for large parts of the workday, it is important that you have good physical ability and an ergonomic work approach. The position requires a B driver's license and good driving experience.
Previous experience working with Lean (or similar methodology) is advantageous as we continuously strive to improve our processes. Previous experience in the field of assistive devices and in the business system Sesam is also considered advantageous.
About the Assistive Technology Center
The Assistive Technology Center is a competence and logistics center for the 49 municipalities of Västra Götaland and VGR's own operations. We are located in Borås, Mölndal, Skövde, and Uddevalla. Our service offerings are based on the needs of healthcare providers for both in-depth knowledge in the field of assistive devices and various service offerings to support the healthcare chain. We handle purchasing, storage, distribution, as well as service and maintenance of assistive device items. We also assist prescribers with, among other things, assistive device counseling, individual fittings, adjustments/special adjustments, as well as study visits and training.
At the Assistive Technology Center in Mölndal, nearly 160 employees work, of which about 70 belong to the delivery unit. We refurbish and adapt around 2000 manual wheelchairs each month. We offer you a developing workplace where you receive introduction, training, and good employment conditions.
