The section belongs to the Logistics Unit, which is responsible for supply management, material accounting, transportation, technical services, storage services, and medical care across the entire conflict spectrum. The unit is also responsible for infrastructure and environmental management, housing, procurement, as well as occupational health care and defense medicine.

Main Responsibilities

Our daily work is characterized by varied tasks that largely involve customer contact. You will manage administrative accounting systems in a digital environment, which forms the basis of the entire work process. The overarching work mainly involves receiving, storing, and issuing materials to operations within the Armed Forces. The tasks include actively following up on material handling and managing daily customer contacts; for our material accounting, the digital systems SAP-PRIO and LIFT are used. Furthermore, you will work with simpler sewing services, which may involve sewing, altering, and repairing uniforms, clothing, and other materials.

You will continuously participate in the development of the workplace and the improvement of work methods. The work is physically varied, and heavy lifting occurs.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Experience in sewing services
• Experience in a logistics environment such as warehouse/storage
• Approved high school education
• Driving license B for manual transmission
• Good experience working in a digital computer environment, including the Office suite
• Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Swedish citizenship

Personal qualities sought include good initiative and collaboration skills as well as good social skills with a service mindset. You can work both independently and in a team, and you are a problem solver, meticulous, stress-resistant, and able to make necessary priorities.

The position requires physical and mental ability. Travel for work and personal training may occur for shorter periods. Since both positions and tasks are linked to a war organization, you will also be war-placed in our logistics organization. This means, among other things, that you will receive training in what is expected of you in a heightened state of readiness.

Skaraborg Air Force Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here, there are combat aircraft as well as the Armed Forces' combined resources of transport and special aircraft. We conduct basic and position training for conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for the Swedish personnel at the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
