The Stockholm East area includes the two closed prisons Österåker and Täby. Here, we primarily employ correctional officers, but also healthcare professionals, teachers, administrators, production leaders, and other important professions. The clients at the prisons are engaged in education, treatment programs, workshop work, as well as assembly and packaging tasks – all to create structure, meaning, and conditions for a better future.

Österåker prison is currently in an exciting expansion phase with new prison places and employment facilities coming into operation between 2025 and 2027. There are great opportunities to grow with the organization – both in terms of the number of employees and in new, exciting roles. The prison is located outside Åkersberga – perfect for those who appreciate avoiding rush hour traffic. Car is the easiest way to get here. Täby prison is a small facility with a family-like environment and good commuting options. Both prisons offer staff parking.

We prioritize a health-promoting work environment, and therefore Österåker prison has a staff gym. There is also a well-regarded staff restaurant where you can eat and socialize with your colleagues.
