Hall Prison, located just outside Södertälje, has, in addition to regular departments, special departments for inmates with specific needs and one of the country’s three security units. About 400 employees and 20 managers manage, lead, and develop the operations that accommodate over 300 inmates. The largest professional group is correctional officers, but administrative staff, educators, production leaders, etc., also work at the prison. The inmates are engaged in education, treatment programs, or in the prison’s production, which includes assembly, packaging, laundry, and ceramics manufacturing. At Hall, we prioritize a health-promoting work environment and can offer, for example, a staff gym to use during breaks and also in your free time, access to a sports hall, recovery room with massage chair, and a library.

To get to the prison, which is located just outside Södertälje, you can take a bus from Östertälje. If you drive, you can park for free in our staff parking lot. For those living far from Södertälje, the prison may provide accommodation for a limited period. JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the correctional inspector (immediate supervisor), you as a client officer will be responsible for the overall client work. You will be responsible for about 50 clients with whom you will have direct contact. The work involves, among other things, planning, following up, and ensuring the quality of the work with clients' execution planning, as well as preparing and making decisions according to prison and administrative laws in accordance with delegation. This may involve, for example, permission cases, misconduct, and financial matters related to the client's execution. Your assignment includes making assessments based on applicable regulations, guidelines, and practices. Collaboration with other parts of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and other authorities occurs frequently. Other administrative tasks may also arise.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who finds it easy to collaborate with others, communicates clearly, and speaks, acts, and decides with good judgment. You make correct assessments and priorities, are meticulous, and pay attention to goals and quality even under high workloads or temporary assignments. You have the ability to see the bigger picture, consider the broader perspective, and act in accordance with decisions made, policies, and guidelines.

It is important to us that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in the human will and ability to develop. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:

• University/college education primarily in law, public law, criminology, or other education combined with experience that the employer deems relevant.
• Experience in case management, investigative work, or decision-making.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious to have:

• Knowledge of administrative law.
• Experience collaborating with relevant actors such as other authorities.
• Work with execution plans or equivalent implementation plans.
• Current experience with the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's client administrative systems.
• Well-rated work experience from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
