Snösätraskolan is our beautiful F-6 school in pleasant nature-friendly surroundings at Snösätrahöjden in Rågsved.

In our dual-parallel operation, we have about 240 students with 25 different native languages.

Your role

As a school custodian, you will among other things address faults and deficiencies in the school's premises and be responsible for systematic care, maintenance, and inspection of the school's properties. You will also be responsible for furnishings and relocations, assembly and repair of furniture, ordering various materials, and receiving goods. The assignment also involves working preventively to see where potential challenges regarding local issues may arise, following up on deficiencies that have occurred, and ensuring that the measures work as expected.

In the role of school and IT custodian, we are looking for:

Custodian Tasks

  • Open the school in the morning and ensure that the premises are in order
  • Daily supervision of the school's premises, furnishings, and outdoor environment
  • Good ability to perform repairs indoors and outdoors as well as maintenance
  • Waste and garbage handling and ensure that waste is sorted according to applicable guidelines
  • Be responsible for furnishing the premises as needed (lessons, meetings, events)
  • Handle fault reports and contact with property owner SISAB
  • Receive and manage deliveries and mail handling
  • Be responsible for locks and inventory, issuance, and acknowledgment of keys.
  • Contribute to the school's safety and work environment efforts (fire, evacuation, safety rounds)
  • Ordering various materials as well as receiving goods and transport
  • Chemsoft responsibility

IT Tasks

  • Good IT knowledge
  • IT support for students and staff.
  • Ensure that technical equipment works, e.g., printers, copiers, projectors, and screens
  • Management of the school's peripheral equipment such as hardware, projectors, printers, phones, and subscriptions (needs, scope, placement)
  • Administer and manage service cards
  • Inventory and documentation of the school's digital equipment
  • Some technical troubleshooting and collaborate with external and internal IT suppliers
  • To work together with the IT manager to carry out orders and rollouts during IT procurements and identify improvements in the school's digital areas
  • To be updated regarding information security, contracts, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Other work may also occur as support for the administrative tasks present in a school

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone with experience working in a school environment. As a person, you are cooperative, stress-resistant, and have good social skills. We place high demands on independence and planning ability. It is an advantage if you have worked in the City of Stockholm, as you are well acquainted with all routines and systems.

High school education preferably with a focus on IT, technology, property, or similar.

Documented experience of practical service-custodian work

Good knowledge of IT and technical user support

Proficient in the Office suite is a requirement

Good Swedish in speech and writing

Basic knowledge of work environment, safety, and fire protection
