We are now looking for a hull mechanic at Muskövarvet, a role for you with a technical interest, good aptitude for assembly, and attention to detail. In this position, you will work with troubleshooting, service, and repair of the vessels' hull-related functions. This includes everything from doors, hatches, and seals to various fixed installations that must be correctly, tightly, and securely fitted. It may involve fixed structures, fastenings, and functions within the hull.
The work is varied and practical, with a clear connection between mechanics, assembly, and inspection work. You will work closely with both colleagues and vessels, often in tight spaces, and need to have an eye for how things should function in reality.
Please Note:
Muskövarvet is a security-protected workplace. This means that you must be a Swedish citizen, have a clean criminal record, and be able to pass a security clearance with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
ResponsibilitiesAs a hull mechanic, you are responsible for checking, adjusting, and ensuring the function and fit of the vessels' hull-related components. You identify deviations during inspections and perform necessary actions, such as adjustments, assembly, or simpler mechanical interventions. The work is often methodical and follows established routines, where quality and safety are crucial. The work also involves bolt connections, fastenings, and simpler mechanical actions, often in close collaboration with other professional roles at the yard.
An important part of the role is documentation. You are responsible for creating protocols, following up on inspections, and ensuring that completed work is documented correctly in systems and according to applicable routines.
Location: Muskö, Stockholm
Extent: Full-time
Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 7-16, Fri 7-13.30
