Job Responsibilities

Do you want to help ensure a safe and sustainable water supply in our municipality? We are now looking for an engaged and competent operations technician who wants to contribute to an efficient and safe water and sewage operation.

As an operations technician within Water and Sewage Operations focusing on water treatment plants, you will be an important part of the operation where you work to secure access to clean and safe drinking water for everyone. Your work includes working with the water treatment plants, from purification processes and operational optimization to troubleshooting maintenance and inspections. You will collaborate with a competent group consisting of operational managers, process engineers, laboratory staff, and other operations technicians, and your efforts are crucial to maintaining a long-term and sustainable water supply. Since you will have many contacts both internally and externally, it is important that you are service-oriented and have an easy time collaborating. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to participate in exciting projects as a representative for the group within Water and Sewage. The job responsibilities include being on-call for the unit, which means you are available to handle any situations around the clock. The position is characterized by responsibility, development opportunities, commitment, collaboration, and problem-solving. You will work with our three water treatment plants, one of which is one of Sweden's most modern water treatment plants.

The position requires a security clearance. All permanent employees at Kungälv Municipality are placed in a war position.

Qualifications

• Studying or have studied Operations Technician training, Water and Environmental Technician, or equivalent education through experience in municipal water and sewage operations, or have work experience in water and sewage that is deemed equivalent.
• Class B driver's license is a requirement.
• You should have good computer skills, be structured, flexible, technically interested, and engaged in your task.
• Experience working with control and monitoring systems (SCADA).
• Knowledge of environmental and quality requirements within water and sewage operations.
• Experience handling documentation and reporting – for example, work orders, maintenance plans, and deviations.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
