Doing things the usual way has never really been our thing. With our FABship stores, we have already redefined what retail is and can be, offering a completely different experience than 'regular retail'. But settling for that is also not really our thing.

Now it’s time for something completely new again – we are opening Lyko in Kalmar! A brand new Beauty Playground, built from the ground up, packed with beauty joy, experience zones, scent walls, makeup heaven, and a product range that will leave even the most seasoned beauty junkie in awe! For Kalmar, this is not just a new store; it’s the beginning of a whole new Lyko world.

To make this everything we dream of (and a little more), we need you on this journey! Together with our store manager, you will form a DREAMTEAM that leads, coaches, and drives the store forward with approximately 15 employees. About the role

As an Assistant Store Manager, you play a key role in the team. You are the right hand of the store manager and take full responsibility when they are not present. But even when you work together, you are actively present – you lead, support, and motivate the team to new heights.

Your responsibilities will include:

• ✨ Leading the daily operations in the store together with the store manager
• ✨ Coaching the team in customer interaction, sales, and work routines
• ✨ Contributing to the store's visual expression, campaigns, and wow-factor
• ✨ Ensuring that the store follows concept frameworks, meets set goals, and is always spotless
• ✨ Taking responsibility for staffing, operations, and inventory – especially during weekends and in the absence of the store manager

The start date is at the end of March to prepare for the opening at the end of April, but the right person is worth waiting for if you are not available immediately. The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probation period and includes 30 hours per week. Salary is according to collective agreements (with supplements) and working hours vary during all store opening hours.

Who we think you are

We are looking for someone who loves beauty, is driven by sales, and has a natural leadership ability. You have a genuine commitment to seeing people grow & develop and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed.

We believe you have:

• Previous experience leading others – preferably in retail
• A coaching approach and the courage to give clear feedback
• A structured way of working and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience working towards goals and following up results with the team
• A passion for service and beauty – and perhaps a background as a makeup artist, hairdresser, or skin therapist
• Extra points if you are familiar with Quinyx, have worked with campaigns, or have visual merits in your background!
