Project Manager with Construction Competence

Municipal Properties is part of the Technical Division in Nyköping Municipality. We are responsible for local resource planning and management of the municipality's properties – from maintenance and operations to new, renovation, and extension projects. Municipal Properties are divided into the units of Management, Operations, Rental Administration, and Planning and Investigation. We manage approximately 340,000 m² of owned premises and about 75,000 m² of rented premises.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a project manager, you are a central part of our organization. You have overall responsibility for driving projects from start to finish and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. Your projects may involve construction, but also developing processes, streamlining working methods, and implementing improvements within management. The role requires you to combine project management skills with construction technical competence, allowing you to take responsibility for both strategic decisions and practical solutions.

Your main tasks include:

• Leading and coordinating projects within construction and management, as well as development projects that improve our working methods and organization.
• Planning, following up, and reporting on project goals, timelines, and finances.
• Representing Municipal Properties at construction meetings and ensuring quality in execution.
• Providing construction technical advice and staying updated on new regulations, materials, and trends.
• Preparing documentation for procurements and ensuring that technical standards are followed and developed.
• Managing warranty cases and contributing to ensuring that our projects maintain high quality and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in project management, preferably with construction-related projects.
• Has knowledge of construction technical issues and an interest in development in the field.
• Is structured, solution-oriented, and enjoys taking responsibility.
• Has good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Has basic IT skills (Windows and Office package).

Meritorious:

• Experience in procurements and knowledge of LOU.
• Experience in inspections and handling warranty cases.
• Education in construction technology or a related field.
• Experience working in a politically governed organization.
