We are looking for two Water and Wastewater Investigators who are passionate about strategic planning and sustainable solutions within water and wastewater services. With us, you will play a key role in ensuring a robust and future-proof infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

Sörmland Vatten och Avfall is currently experiencing a high investment rate, which

will involve the expansion of water and wastewater services in development areas planned by

all three owner municipalities. These projects need to be investigated through thorough pre-studies to develop wise and strategic decision-making bases for these investment decisions.

As a Water and Wastewater Investigator, you will work with pre-studies and investigations across the entire water and wastewater sector as a basis for strategic decisions and upcoming investments. The work includes pipeline renewals, expansion, and development of water and wastewater systems and takes place in close collaboration with other functions within the organization. You will contribute to collecting, compiling, and analyzing the information required to produce well-founded decision-making bases.

The investigations may cover various types of questions within the water and wastewater operations, such as capacity, functionality, environmental requirements, future needs, and development directions.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree as an engineer or equivalent work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience in strategic investigations and short-term analyses within the water and wastewater sector.
• Good understanding of renewal planning and collaboration with various stakeholders.
• A valid driver's license (B).

Meritorious:

• Education in water technology or environmental and water technology.
• Experience in the water and wastewater industry or similar industries such as the energy sector.
