The role of the chef with us

The work is mainly located at Måhaga care and nursing home, where you will work on-site in the preparation kitchen three days a week together with a colleague. Here, all food is prepared from scratch, and your tasks include preparing lunch, dessert, and dinner, as well as side dishes. You are responsible for special diets and texture-modified diets. You will plan purchases together with your colleagues and may need to make orders. You will also work with the kitchen's self-control according to current routines and food legislation. In addition to preparation, other common kitchen tasks such as inventory, dishwashing, and cleaning all parts of the kitchen are included.

On the remaining two days of the week, you will work as a resource within schools and preschools. This work may involve both reception kitchens and preparation kitchens, which requires flexibility and a good ability to adapt to different operations and work environments. Working hours are mainly scheduled on weekdays, but the position also includes work on public holidays and weekends.

Your profile

You are confident in your professional role and take responsibility for the overall kitchen. With your commitment and positive attitude, you contribute to a good work environment. You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work. Collaboration, service, and development are important to you, and you find it easy to build good relationships. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, which is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone with education in restaurant and large-scale catering or equivalent experience deemed comparable. You have several years of experience in cooking in large kitchens and good knowledge of special diets, as well as experience working according to HACCP and food hygiene requirements. You are computer literate as orders, documentation, and administration are done digitally.

Måhaga care and nursing home is centrally located in Fjärås and consists of six units with approximately 60 residents. The kitchen is a preparation kitchen where food is made from scratch, and lunch for day activities is also prepared. The operation runs every day of the year.

Our offer and additional information

We offer a permanent full-time position in the form of a vacation service, with start date according to agreement. The position includes work on weekends and public holidays that fall on Monday–Friday. This means a full-time measure of 38.25 hours per week.
