About the Eye Department

At the Eye Clinic in Mölndal, you will meet driven and engaged employees who work based on Sahlgrenska University Hospital's vision and motto “together for the patient with the patient”.

With over 300 employees, we are one of Sweden's largest Eye Departments. We are a research-intensive organization at the forefront of research and development. The main operations are located at Mölndal Hospital, but eye care is also provided at Drottning Silvia's Children's Hospital, the clinic in Frölunda, the clinic in Kungälv, and at Sahlgrenska Hospital.

Our operations are divided into 14 processes based on different subspecialties, both in medicine and surgery. In these processes, there are employees from various professional categories such as nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, optometrists, orthoptists, ophthalmic nurses, administrative staff, doctors, coordinators, and photographers.

About the workplace you are applying to

The Eye Clinic continues to expand, and we therefore need more employees in our team.

The clinic has been divided into two units, one focused on general eye diseases and emergency services, and the other focused on Medical Retina, glaucoma, and pediatric teams.

In this advertisement, we are looking for employees to be placed in the unit focused on Medical Retina, glaucoma, and pediatric teams. However, the majority of the placement will be within our intravitreal injection services.

What can we offer you as a candidate?

The working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

As a nursing assistant with us, you will work in a team alongside various professional categories such as doctors, optometrists, and nurses.

You will work with preparatory examinations before doctor visits, such as vision testing, eye pressure measurement, OCT, and photography. You will also work in a care team within the intravitreal injection services. There may also be independent clinics.

We offer a good and comprehensive introduction with continuous feedback from a supervisor.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. You enjoy taking responsibility and can work independently but also thrive in a team. You are a person who is flexible in your work and has developed confidence in your professional role. You enjoy working at both a fast and slow pace during your shift. Experience in eye care or surgical care is advantageous but not a requirement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
