About You:

You are welcome to have some form of education and/or experience in the profession, but it is not a requirement. You should also be quick to learn new IT systems. If you speak Finnish or Meänkieli, it is an extra plus.

Requirements:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You need good knowledge of the Swedish language.
• For work in home care, you need a B driver's license.

Your Tasks:

Which area suits you?

With us, you can work in elderly homes or in home care, but also in LSS homes or in personal assistance. The roles differ, so please indicate where you wish to substitute primarily.

• Elderly Home: In our homes, people who need support and care live around the clock. This may involve physical disabilities due to age or illness. You will be part of a team with care assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, and you will receive tasks based on your level of competence. There is often a nice community in the homes and activities in everyday life.
• Home Care: Your role is to support the care recipient to live as independently as possible. The work takes place in the care recipient's own home. It is a coaching role, and the job is free and varied with great responsibility. You will move around Övertorneå by car.
• LSS Home: In our homes, people who need support and care live around the clock. This may involve physical and/or mental disabilities. You will be part of a team with supervisors, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, and you will receive tasks based on your level of competence. There is often a nice community in the homes and activities in everyday life.
• Personal Assistance: Your role is to support the care recipient to live as independently as possible. The work takes place in the care recipient's own home. It is a coaching role, and the job is free and varied with great responsibility.

A summer in elderly care and/or support provides valuable experiences regardless of your future plans. If you are studying a healthcare education, you have the chance to practice your skills in communication, close care, and gain experience working with the elderly or individuals with disabilities. In many areas of healthcare, the elderly will be the largest patient group in the future.

Your Working Hours

There will be opportunities to work throughout or parts of the summer. With us, you will work varying hours such as day/evening, night, and weekends, depending on the operation. The variation allows you to enjoy the summer alongside your job.

Employment Conditions:

The employment period is during June-August 2026. The position is a temporary one starting as agreed. We offer full-time, but part-time opportunities are available and should be indicated in your application. We have a tobacco-free work environment.
