Viscaria Mining Company is a Swedish publicly listed company scaling up to become a modern and responsible mining company through the reopening of the Viscaria mine in Kiruna. The high copper content of the Viscaria deposit, assessed mineral resources, geographical location, and our growing team of experts mean that the company has good conditions to deliver quality copper.

With the help of the latest technology in mining, logistics, and water treatment, we strive to become one of the world's most sustainable copper producers. In addition to the Viscaria mine, the company has processing concessions and exploration permits in Arvidsjaur and Tvistbo.

About the Role

As a strategic purchaser, you will play a central role in building our operations. You will work both strategically to develop processes and supplier base, and operationally with daily purchasing tasks to ensure that the right materials and services are in place at the right time.

A large part of our purchases concern construction contracts, technical systems, and consulting services, which means that you will often work with industry standard agreements and AMA structure in both procurement and contract follow-up.

You will, among other things:

• Develop and implement category plans and processes together with the purchasing organization

• Drive tenders, negotiations, and contract writing with suppliers, nationally and internationally

• Manage operational purchases: orders, order placement, delivery monitoring, and follow-up

• Ensure that deliveries are timely and meet our quality, safety, and sustainability requirements

• Monitor supplier performance and actively develop our supplier base

• Support the business towards set project and cost goals

• Contribute to establishing routines, templates, system support, and working methods within purchasing in consultation with the purchasing manager

Your Background and Profile

We believe that you, as an applicant, have:

• Experience in purchasing work, preferably within industry, mining, process, or manufacturing

• Good experience in negotiation, contracts, and supplier relationships

• Ability to work both strategically and operationally with purchasing

• Good analytical skills and interest in cost tracking and business acumen

• As English is our corporate language, you should have good knowledge of both English and Swedish, both spoken and written

• At least a B driver's license

We would also like you to have good knowledge of:

• AB 04 and ABT 06

• ABK 09

• AMA Construction, AMA AF, and MER Construction

• Other relevant industry documents related to contract and consulting procurements

It is an extra merit if you have:

• Experience in large project procurements and/or CAPEX investments

• Experience from mining or heavy industry

• Experience working in commercial and MRP systems, e.g., M3

• Experience building processes and working methods in an organization undergoing change or startup
