The business, with approximately 75 employees, encompasses electricity sales, district heating, electricity distribution, and operation of hydropower stations. About the Role
VB Energi is in a growth phase and we are now making a significant investment to meet our customers' needs and contribute to the energy transition. Do you want to help contribute to fossil freedom at VB Energi? We are now looking for an experienced buyer!
In the role of Buyer with us, your passion for economics and business will have the opportunity to contribute to the company’s strategy and growth. You will act as a business partner and advisor in the decision-making processes that ensure the resources needed to drive the business forward. This is a broad role where you will be responsible for planning, monthly follow-up, purchasing, procurement, investment support, and quality-enhancing measures in the project process.
The role gives you the opportunity to influence and contribute to the quality of our projects. This means analyzing the supplier market, choosing the procurement method, preparing tender documents, negotiating, and evaluating suppliers in close collaboration with internal clients. You will handle complex business-critical procurements and ensure that contractual terms are followed, while also developing strategies and processes for the future.
This role includes both strategic and operational responsibilities. You will support colleagues with contracts, compliance with entered agreements, negotiations, and training, as well as manage administration such as contract writing and archiving. Through supplier follow-up and evaluations, you will contribute to our economic and sustainability goals within occupational health and the environment. Requirements
- Relevant university or college degree (economic or technical orientation) or equivalent work experience with solid experience in the field
- Ability to drive complex negotiations and create long-term business relationships
- Experience in writing business contracts and good knowledge of commercial contract law
- Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Driving license B
It is advantageous if you have
- Experience from the energy or related industry.
- Solid experience in both finance and procurement within construction law; including ABT, AB, ABT-U, and AMA
To succeed in this role, a strategic approach, high business acumen, and the ability to take initiative and work independently are required. You have analytical skills and act proactively to identify and implement improvement opportunities. The work largely involves communication and negotiations with external suppliers, which places high demands on good communication skills. You are driven and engaged by establishing and maintaining relationships with both internal clients and external suppliers.
