Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. Already, we offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Your mission

As a general specialist at Stenhagen Health Center, you will play a central role in providing person-centered care to patients of all ages, with a particular focus on promoting health and preventing illness. With us, you will work with a wide range of medical issues, from acute and chronic conditions to preventive health care and follow-ups. Your role also includes close collaboration with our child health care (BVC), where you will become a trusted and long-term contact for our youngest patients and their families.

As an employee at Stenhagen Health Center, you have the opportunity for continuous planned professional development through further education and supervision. Mandatory courses are included in your employment as part of your scheduling. If there is an interest in research, this can be discussed.

In the position of general practitioner within Region Uppsala, it is required to serve at our emergency clinics and standby clinics.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with specialist competence in general medicine. To thrive and succeed in this role, we would like you to have experience in primary care and a particular sensitivity to holistic views and individualized care. You are structured, have good judgment, and can make medical assessments with confidence and professionalism.

As a person, you are attentive, empathetic, and good at building trusting relationships, both with patients and colleagues. You have good communication skills and value collaboration and knowledge exchange with the entire team to achieve the best possible care for patients. We are looking for someone who is flexible and solution-oriented and who takes responsibility for developing both your own competence and the care at the unit.

In addition to being a good communicator and proficient in the Swedish language, it is an advantage if you have additional language skills. Your willingness to develop primary care together with other employees at the health center will be beneficial to us. We place great importance on personal qualities.

Our operations

Stenhagen is an expanding district where the health center has and will have a central role. We are constantly developing in terms of working methods and facilities. The future plan is to build a completely new health center that will be adapted to the future of primary care. Today, several professions work here, and the ambition is to grow into an organization that represents all professional areas within the health center's mission.
