Do you want to make a difference for patients with special needs? We are looking for an experienced dentist for the Specialist Dental Care Orofacial Medicine and Mobile Clinic, just 2 kilometers from Uppsala Travel Center.

Our Operations

Public Dental Care in Region Uppsala is undergoing an expansive phase in the field of orofacial medicine. Elderly dental care is an important part as Sweden's population is getting older, but other groups with special needs, such as those with medical conditions and intellectual disabilities, also make up our patients.

Orofacial medicine is conducted in seven rooms in fresh premises located in an attractive area, from where our mobile clinic also operates. Together, we form a group of 34 employees. We have joint therapy and clinic meetings, collaboration, and other operational activities. This provides you with great opportunities for knowledge exchange with experienced colleagues!

In orofacial medicine, we treat patients with special needs, medical conditions, and intellectual disabilities. We perform oral medical investigations and treatments, carry out dentoalveolar surgery, and receive infection investigations from healthcare. The clinic also conducts research on oral cancer with several areas of development.

The mobile clinic is part of Region Uppsala's efforts to promote health, prevent disease, and reduce disparities in oral health among different groups in society. By providing dental care on-site where patients are located, it contributes to more equitable dental health across the region. The aim is to increase access to dental care for individuals who may otherwise have difficulty reaching a traditional dental clinic. This may include patients in special accommodations, ordinary housing, or group homes.

In addition to specialized dental care in orofacial medicine and mobile dental care, we also provide anesthesia dental care. We also have a psychologist at the clinic for CBT treatment with our dental-anxious patients.

Your Mission and Competence

We are now looking for a dentist who seeks a varied job with good development opportunities. You have an interest in and feel a commitment to medical and elderly dental care. You have good experience in general dentistry, and it is an advantage to have experience in medical and/or mobile dental care.

As a person, you are engaged, meticulous, and patient-focused. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. It is important to be cooperative and helpful; we work independently when required and together when needed.
