Mariekällskolan is a municipal school for grades 4-9 located centrally in Södertälje municipality. The school has about 500 students and over 40 employees. We are a multicultural school and are constantly working to develop and improve our methods to meet all students' needs.

Learning and safety are our focus, and we regularly work with monitoring results and attendance of all students, along with an active student health team at the school where you, as a school nurse, have a central role in the preventive and health-promoting work at the school. Your responsibilities

The school nurse plays a key role in the health-promoting and preventive work at the school. As a school nurse, you are part of the school's student health team (EHT), which consists of the principal, vice principals, special educators, special teachers, school psychologists, counselors, social educators, study and career counselors, and school doctors. Working in the student health team means that you have close collegial collaboration within student health, where each contributes based on their profession. In your role as a school nurse, you are responsible for conducting health conversations and vaccinations according to the national basic program. Furthermore, simpler medical interventions, consultations, and advice and support in medical matters based on the needs of the student and the school are included. The work involves collaboration with students and guardians, school staff, and external actors, such as BUP, social services, etc. The municipality's school nurses are part of the EMI network, which offers regular meetings for quality development and support in the work.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who always puts the student first, is attentive and engaged. You are professional in your interactions and have good organizational skills. You enjoy working with both children and young people as well as guardians and do not hesitate to support your colleagues when needed. As a school nurse, you have good collaborative skills, and your approach is characterized by trust, precision, and clear communication. You are flexible and can easily adapt when the situation requires it.

Requirements:
- You are a licensed nurse with further education in open health care, health care for children and youth, or the school nurse program.
- You are flexible and have an interest in developing the school nurse role based on needs.
- Good ability to communicate and express yourself clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- In addition to collaboration within the school, collaboration with external actors and authorities is included. The work requires very good collaborative skills and leadership qualities.

Meritorious
- Experience working in schools.
- Experience working with the Prorenata journal system
