Are you a licensed nurse who thrives best with varied tasks in a department close to the pulse of emergency care? Then you are warmly welcome to us at the neurology and stroke department in Helsingborg. We welcome both experienced nurses and newly graduated ones!
In newly renovated premises in the hospital's main building, we care for patients with stroke and other neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, Guillain-Barré, myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and brain tumors. Due to the department's focus on neurology and stroke patients, we also encounter acute situations and have a close collaboration with the emergency department. The department currently has two care teams with fourteen care places, five of which are monitoring places with telemetry capability. We also have three day care places.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you attracted to working in interdisciplinary teams and stimulated by utilizing your nursing skills in both acute thrombolysis treatments and rehabilitation work? As a nurse with us, we can offer you both aspects in a varied workday.
The job responsibilities include standard nursing tasks for the ward combined with specific tasks for a department with our profile. This means high preparedness for acute situations, management of thrombolysis treatment, and participation in rehabilitation work.
As a nurse with us, you will be part of a team together with nursing assistants, doctors, paramedics, pharmacists, speech therapists, and dietitians. Our broad mix of competencies means that the right professional category performs the right work around our patients. You will start your service with an introduction period where our mentors and nursing leaders act as experienced support and sounding boards to help you get into the work in a methodical and structured way.
We care about the professional development of our employees, and there are good opportunities for you to further your education to become a specialist nurse in neurosurgery through employer-funded training.

QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you as a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale. It is an advantage if you have experience working in neurology and stroke care.
Regarding personal competencies, we are looking for someone who enjoys and works well in teams with colleagues from both your own and other professions. The work requires independence and flexibility as well as the ability to handle situations calmly even when the pace is sometimes high. We would like you, like us, to have an interest in development and improvement work and want to be involved in knowledge exchange among colleagues. Furthermore, we see that you have a great commitment to your work with a good sense of service and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
