Do you want to work on development projects to provide the best possible care for our patients? Then apply for the position with us at the emergency department in Malmö. We are now welcoming a nurse for mixed shifts, day and night!

The emergency department (AVA) is a short-term unit with 18 acute care beds and 4 intermediate care beds. We provide the same advanced and complex care around the clock. The operation is considered a higher level of care as it can offer respiratory care with NIV or CPAP and has the capabilities for cardiac monitoring and blood pressure monitoring with arterial catheters. We work multidisciplinary, which means we receive patients from all specialties.

On the unit, we work in teams consisting of nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors where collaboration plays a significant role. Each team is responsible for four to six patients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will work with common nursing tasks on the unit as well as cardiac monitoring, sampling, and handling of medical technology equipment.

The working hours are scheduled for both day and night, but since we work with a wish schedule, there is an opportunity to request your schedule for more night or daytime. The wish schedule with a time bank also means that we work shorter shifts than a traditional schedule. The scheduling model allows room for competence and operational development.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have language skills in Swedish that correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. If you have experience in emergency care/hospital care or intermediate care, it is considered an advantage. Experience with NIV, CPAP, and other medical equipment as well as Melior and Pasis is also advantageous.
