Cleaning is an important service profession where we perform practical work to create healthy premises for everyone who spends time in them. At the Cleaning Unit, we proudly work to give the premises of Leksand Municipality a pleasant impression while having fun at work together.

Your Responsibilities

As a cleaner with us, you not only keep the municipality's various premises clean - you perform your work efficiently and according to set goals. You carry out cleaning based on a weekly schedule and with the help of tools such as mops, vacuum cleaners, and scrubbers. Together with your colleagues, you collaborate to maintain regular floor care, which helps reduce our maintenance costs. The work is performed both independently and in groups, using environmentally friendly and modern cleaning methods.

As an employee, you have close contact with the supervisors both on-site at the object you are working on and via phone. Each supervisor has their specific areas, which means you will be assigned a supervisor as your closest contact.

As an employee with us, you will receive a rewarding introduction that is both theoretical and practical. Throughout the year, you will be scheduled for employee conversations. Since our objects are geographically spread out, our workplace meetings provide nice opportunities for everyone to meet. We work Monday - Friday during the day.

We are looking for more hourly substitutes to join us at the Cleaning Unit.

Your Profile

  • It is advantageous if you have a high school diploma or equivalent experience acquired in another way.
  • A driver's license (B) and a personal vehicle for work are required as we are geographically dispersed in Leksand Municipality.

To manage the workload, you need to have good physical fitness, as effective cleaning means you move a lot and work with your body. You also need to possess basic IT and computer skills to handle certain tasks, as well as be proficient in and understand Swedish in both speech and writing to read and understand instructions and safety data sheets within the work area.

As a person, you are service-oriented, helpful, and have a good attitude towards colleagues and customers. You are flexible and can work both independently or as part of a team - at all the objects we clean. You are meticulous and care about meeting set goals and quality standards.

About the Workplace

We who work in the Cleaning Unit are about 50 employees, two Supervisors, one Administrator, and one Unit Manager. Within Cleaning, we work to provide professional service and expertise in the field. With us, the customer is always in focus!

The Operations Support Sector has about 140 employees and consists of the departments: Administrative Services, Finance and Payroll, HR, IT, Communication, Food & Cleaning, and Customer Service. The sector's mission is to ensure that other sectors in the municipality have the best possible conditions to focus on their core activities.
