The role of nursing assistant/care assistant

As a nursing assistant/care assistant with us, you will participate in the care work around the patient. You will work with everything from general patient-related tasks to acute situations during childbirth or other care. You will also work to maintain good relationships with patients and their relatives.

The Women's Clinic at Högland Hospital in Eksjö is an exciting workplace that offers many opportunities for developing and meaningful tasks.

Our clinic consists of Maternity, Postnatal, Postnatal reception, Obstetric reception, Ultrasound reception, Breastfeeding reception, Specialist maternity care, AURORA operations, Gynecological care unit and reception as well as Women's health care and youth reception. As a summer substitute, you will work at the Women's Clinic's reception, Care Unit, or Maternity/Postnatal.

When you work with us during the summer, you contribute to good and patient-safe care. Your tasks will vary depending on the department and your competence. During a possible interview, we will tell you more about our operations and the tasks included.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, caregiver, or studying to become a nurse or doctor. We prefer that you have completed the third semester, but individual assessment can occur earlier.

To ensure the best summer planning possible, we would like you to work at least six weeks during weeks 25-32. Introduction will take place in the spring and will be tailored to your circumstances.

We value that you are a secure and responsible person who appreciates teamwork. You have the ability to empathize with others' situations. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. We meet patients from various backgrounds and circumstances, which requires sensitivity to each individual patient's needs. It means a lot to us that you have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues, and together we create good and safe care with the patient in focus. Personal suitability is of great importance.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is a protected professional title, so if you are a trained nursing assistant, you will need to indicate in your application whether you have applied for the protected title. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and have not applied for the protected title, we ask you to attach a certificate of your permanent position in your application to continue to hold the title of nursing assistant.
