The Role of an Ambulance Care Provider

As an ambulance care provider, you work in a team with a nurse who is either a generalist or specialist trained, and together you provide patient-safe care on-site and during transport. You use advanced equipment and meet patients of various ages and situations, making the work both varied and challenging.

Your Future Workplace

The ambulance care in Region Jönköping County is a modern and development-intensive organization, with 24 ambulances distributed across 12 stations.

The operation consists of three ambulance areas: north, south, and east. The southern area has stations in Värnamo, Gislaved, and Vaggeryd. The eastern area has stations in Eksjö, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Sävsjö, Tranås, and Aneby. The northern area has stations in Jönköping, Habo, and Mullsjö.

Your Profile

For the summer of 2026, we are looking for someone who…

• Is a nursing assistant with further education in ambulance care or graduating no later than the summer of 2026
• Has at least two years of experience in hospital care
• Has a B driver's license and emergency driver training (C/C1 qualification is an advantage)
• Good physical work ability
• Enjoys making quick decisions and collaborating in a team.

Great importance is placed on your personal suitability, including your ability to meet patients and relatives with empathy and professionalism.

Our Recruitment Process

In our recruitment process, in addition to interviews and reference checks, there are also a number of tests that you will need to undergo before potential employment. These tests include a fitness test, lifting test, and driving test. You will receive more information about the tests when invited for a potential interview.
