Medical Technology Engineer with a focus on Imaging Equipment

The role of a medical technology engineer involves managing, servicing, and ensuring that the technical equipment functions safely and reliably. The work is varied and multifaceted, covering areas such as electronics, computers, network connections, gas technology, and mechanical systems. You will work both in the field and at our service office, based at Oskarshamn Hospital. About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, troubleshooting, and delivering solutions. This means you have good collaboration skills while being self-driven and adaptable to different situations. You may have a degree as a university engineer with a focus on medical technology or a similar education deemed equivalent. You may also have experience that has provided you with equivalent skills in other ways. Previous experience with Sectras, RIS, and PACS is an advantage. Work within the medical technology department is surrounded by strict regulations and high safety requirements. Accurate documentation and reporting are important in this role. To thrive in our work environment, you need to be practical, solution-oriented, and enjoy working in a structured manner. It is important to understand the significance of quality and safety work in the assignment, which you achieve through a careful, structured, and responsible approach. You can handle multiple tasks simultaneously and enjoy working towards different deadlines. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and hold a B driver's license. Your Future Workplace

The Medical Technology Department (MTA) services and manages medical technology equipment within the northern part of Region Kalmar County. The operations are primarily conducted at Västervik Hospital, Oskarshamn Hospital, and within primary care. Our work spans a wide technological area; from electronics, computers, networks, gas technology to mechanical systems. We are certified according to ISO 13485. MTA consists of ten employees, three of whom are based at Oskarshamn Hospital. Medical technology products include equipment used for diagnostics and therapy, such as X-ray equipment, dialysis, ECG, ultrasound, and anesthesia devices, defibrillators, incubators, and ventilators. We also work with IT systems such as image storage, ECG storage, and monitoring systems.
