Westbay Solutions is now looking for a driven designer to design and lead exciting product development projects to success, within the Defense & Government business area.

As a designer at Westbay Solutions, you will play a central role in planning, organizing, and executing our technical projects from start to finish. You will work closely with our team members and subcontractors to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.

We are looking for a driven individual with experience in mechanical design work, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage and plan projects. We would like you to have a passion for technology, a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You need to be able to work effectively both independently and in a team. The position requires proficiency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

You are expected to have:

• Good knowledge of mechanical design in Inventor or similar CAD programs
• Work experience in a relevant field
• Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education/experience

Desirable skills:

• Experience with Vault or other PDM systems
• Experience in the product development process
• Experience in managing/leading projects from concept to implementation
• Experience working with technical documentation, preferably within the defense sector

Furthermore, you need to be development-oriented and enjoy learning new things, as the job is varied and the organization is growing, which means your tasks may evolve over time.

This position is based at Westbay Solutions' facility in Västervik. Remote work is not offered, although the employer can be flexible in the initial phase for those relocating from another location. The position is full-time, permanent employment starting with a probationary period, with access as soon as possible after agreement.
