Westbay Solutions is now looking for a driven designer to lead exciting product development projects to success, within the Defense & Government business area.

As a designer at Westbay Solutions, you will play a central role in planning, organizing, and executing our technical projects from start to finish. You will work closely with our team members and subcontractors to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.

We are looking for a driven individual with experience in mechanical design work, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage and plan projects. We prefer if you have a passion for technology, an eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You need to be able to work efficiently both independently and in a team. The position requires proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

You are expected to have:

• Good knowledge of mechanical design in Inventor or similar CAD programs
• Work experience in a relevant field
• Engineering education in mechanical engineering or equivalent education/experience

Meritorious skills:

• Experience in Vault or other PDM systems
• Experience in the product development process
• Experience in managing/leading projects from concept to implementation
• Experience in working with technical documentation, preferably in the defense sector

We are looking for someone with excellent collaboration and problemsolving skills, a high capacity to take initiative and responsibility, and who is comfortable working independently. Furthermore, you need to be development-oriented and enjoy learning new things, as the job is varied and the organization is growing, which means that your tasks may evolve over time.

This position is located at the Westbay Solutions facility in Västervik. Remote work is not offered, although the employer may be flexible in the initial stage for those relocating from another location. The position is full-time with entry as soon as possible, by agreement.
