The Role of Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant

We offer you a varied job where you play an important role for the orthopedic clinic's patients and your colleagues. You will be part of a team together with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors, where we value each other and each other's knowledge and have a good community.

As a nursing assistant/care assistant in Orthopedic Care Unit A, you will be responsible for basic care pre- and postoperatively. You will actively work with rehabilitation together with the patient, which includes areas such as mobilization, nutrition, and preventive work to prevent pressure ulcers and care-related infections. Documentation in the journal system Cosmic is also part of the job.

The care unit consists of two departments. In department A, patients with acute orthopedic injuries and diseases requiring treatment are cared for, and this department is open even during the summer. In department B, patients undergoing planned surgeries are cared for, and this department is closed during the summer.

The position is a temporary full-time employment with work during days, evenings, and weekends. We need summer substitute nursing assistants/care assistants for weeks 25-32. It is an advantage if you can work many of – or all – weeks. A regional introduction will take place in addition to these weeks, and we appreciate if you also have the opportunity to shadow during the spring. You will receive pay even during the introduction and shadowing.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or who will be one by June 2026 at the latest. Another option is that you are studying to become a nurse or doctor. In that case, we would like you to have completed the third semester, but individual assessment may occur earlier.

Orthopedics is the most exciting field for us, and we are looking for someone who is curious about the specialty and enjoys a varied job. As a person, you are humble, meticulous, structured, and take responsibility for your tasks. It is also important for us that you have a positive and professional attitude towards your tasks and your colleagues. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
