The Role of Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant with us, you will experience excitement and variety in your daily work, as radiology is a high-tech department where you contribute to the important interaction with patients. Administrative tasks may also occur.

In the role of nursing assistant in the radiology department, you will have mixed responsibilities, including working in the X-ray lab alongside a radiographer, at the reception, or in our media unit that handles image management. In radiology, we have excellent teamwork with all professions, and the more you learn, the more interesting and enjoyable it becomes.

We need substitutes throughout the entire summer job period, which is from June 8 to August 23.

Radiology is a county-wide clinic with over 380 employees. We conduct modern high-tech diagnostics and offer a wide and advanced range of examinations. At all three hospitals, radiology has state-of-the-art departments and a wonderful community. We strive for transparency and job satisfaction. All radiology departments in the county perform examinations in conventional X-ray, computed tomography, fluoroscopy, MRI, and ultrasound. What is special about our respective departments is that:

• Eksjö: here we have radiology at Högland Hospital, but we also have radiology operations in Nässjö, Tranås, and Vetlanda.
• Jönköping: Ryhov County Hospital is our largest hospital, which also offers angiography/interventions and nuclear medicine.
• Värnamo: Värnamo Hospital is the smallest hospital in the county but with the same great commitment and state-of-the-art equipment.
• Mammography: A dedicated unit at Ryhov County Hospital focusing on breast cancer diagnostics.

Your Profile

You are a trained nursing assistant or have completed at least two semesters of the radiography or medical program. It is important to us that you have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues – together we create high patient safety and good accessibility with the patient in focus. You are curious and eager to learn new things, and you contribute to a work environment where we enjoy working together. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

If you have not yet completed your studies, please attach a LADOK extract or other certificate showing completed courses. If you already have a verbal agreement for a summer substitute position with a manager in radiology within Region Jönköping County, please indicate that person's name in your application.

Since nursing assistant has been a protected professional title since July 1, 2023, you will need to indicate in your application if you have proof of a protected professional title. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and do not have proof of a protected professional title, we ask you to attach a certificate of your permanent employment in your application to continue to retain the title of nursing assistant.
