The Role of Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant with us, you will experience excitement and variety in your daily work, as radiology is a high-tech department where you contribute to the important meeting with the patient. Administrative tasks may also occur.

In the role of nursing assistant in the radiology department, there are mixed tasks, including working in the X-ray lab with a radiographer, at the reception, or in our media unit that works with image management. In radiology, we have good teamwork with all professions, and the more you learn, the more interesting and fun it becomes.

We need substitutes throughout the summer job period, which is from June 8 to August 23.

Radiology is a county-wide clinic with over 380 employees. We conduct modern high-tech diagnostics and offer a wide and advanced range of examinations. All radiology departments in the county perform examinations within conventional X-ray, computed tomography, fluoroscopy, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasound. What is special about our respective departments is that:

• Eksjö: here is radiology at Höglandssjukhuset, but we also have radiology operations in Nässjö, Tranås, and Vetlanda.
• Jönköping: Länssjukhuset Ryhov is our largest hospital, which also offers angiography/interventions and nuclear medicine.
• Värnamo: Värnamo Hospital is the smallest hospital in the county but with the same great commitment and state-of-the-art equipment.
• Mammography: A dedicated unit at Länssjukhuset Ryhov focusing on breast cancer diagnostics.

You are a trained nursing assistant or have completed at least two semesters of the radiography or medical program. If you already have a verbal agreement for a summer substitute position with a manager within radiology in Region Jönköpings County, you should specify that person's name in your application.

Since nursing assistant has been a protected professional title since July 1, 2023, you will need to indicate in your application whether you have proof of the protected professional title. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and do not have proof of the protected professional title, we ask you to attach a certificate of your permanent position in your application to continue to retain the title of nursing assistant.
