The role of nursing assistant/care assistant

As a nursing assistant/care assistant with us, you will work with the care of acutely ill patients. The work is varied with a diverse patient flow and a lot of personal responsibility. The focus is on care, observation of the patient's health status, monitoring of vital parameters, sampling, and transportation. You will work three shifts: day, evening, night, and weekends.

Your future workplace

The emergency department handles acute illnesses and accidents that cannot be managed at the health center. We are open around the clock, every day of the year. Our operations have a broad and varied mission in close collaboration with other clinics in the hospital, with tasks ranging from individual patient encounters to being a player in the hospital's disaster organization. About 50 people work at our clinic.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or studying to become a nurse or doctor. We prefer that you have completed the third term as a nursing student or the sixth term as a medical student, but individual assessment can occur earlier. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in emergency care and a desire and curiosity to learn new things. To have the best possible summer planning, we appreciate if you can work at least 6-8 consecutive weeks during the summer. Introduction will take place in addition to these weeks.

If you enjoy fast-paced work, a lot of variety in your tasks, and want to develop in your professional role, then you will thrive with us! For you to succeed and enjoy your new role, we see that you are stable and controlled in stressful situations. You take initiative and are responsible for your own tasks as well as for the unit's overall well-being. It means a lot to us that you have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues, and together we create high patient safety and good accessibility, with the patient in focus.

Since the title of nursing assistant has been protected since July 1, 2023, you will need to indicate in your application whether you have a certificate for the protected title. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and do not have a certificate for the protected title, we ask you to attach a certificate of your permanent position in your application to continue to hold the title of nursing assistant.
