The Role of Care Assistant/Nursing Assistant/Support Worker
The psychiatric round-the-clock department has 15 care places + 1 place for SI – self-selected admission for patients aged 18 and older with acute mental illness within general psychiatry and psychosis care.
With us, you will have a varied summer job. You will meet patients with psychiatric disorders such as psychotic disorders, personality disorders, affective disorders, and neuropsychiatric functional variations. You will be responsible for offering daily conversations with the care staff, and activities such as group and individual walks are part of the care. We work with case management, activities, and other relevant care work with our patients.
The summer jobs are fixed-term full-time positions. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. There may also be opportunities for night shifts. We need substitute care assistants/nursing assistants/support workers during weeks 24-32. To have the best possible summer planning, we appreciate if you can work at least four consecutive weeks during the summer. Introduction will take place in addition to these weeks.

At the psychiatric emergency care department, you will work together with other support workers, nurses, social workers, and teachers. Our department is collectively responsible for compulsory care according to the Act (1991:1128) on psychiatric compulsory care. As a support worker/nursing assistant, you will thus be involved in observing the person's condition, and you are also expected to participate in coercive measures in line with LPT.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant, support worker, or studying to become a nurse or doctor. We prefer that you have completed your third term, but individual assessment can occur earlier. To be eligible for the position, you must be over 18 years old.
To have the best possible summer planning, we appreciate if you can work at least four consecutive weeks during the summer. Introduction will take place in addition to these weeks.

If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and do not have a certificate for the protected professional title, we ask you to attach a certificate of your permanent employment in your application to continue to retain the title of nursing assistant.
Before employment, the employer will request that you show an extract from the police criminal record. An entry in this register may affect your ability to be employed.
