The role of nursing assistant/care assistant

Your future workplace

The Women's Clinic at Värnamo Hospital provides gynecological and obstetric services around the clock. Each year, we welcome around 1,000 babies into the world. We offer good, safe, and accessible care with high medical competence, both in preventive women's health care and during pregnancy, childbirth, gynecological diseases, and adolescents' reproductive health. We want to do our best for those we are here for!

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant, caregiver, or studying to become a nurse or doctor. We prefer that you have completed the third semester, but individual assessment can be made earlier.

To have the best possible summer planning, we view positively if you can work continuously for 6 weeks during the summer. Introduction will take place in addition to these weeks.

For you to thrive with us, you take initiative and are responsible for your own tasks as well as for the unit's overall performance. It means a lot to us that you have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues, and together we create high patient safety and good accessibility, with the patient in focus. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

You will work in our combined maternity/gynecology department where the focus during the summer is on new families in maternity as our gynecology department does not have any open beds for planned admissions, only for emergency patients. There is also the opportunity to work in our Gynecological clinic where you prepare patients for doctor visits and assist with examinations.

Since nursing assistant has been a protected professional title since July 1, 2023, you will need to indicate in your application whether you have proof of a protected professional title. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and do not have proof of a protected professional title, we ask you to attach a certificate of your permanent employment in your application to continue to retain the title of nursing assistant.
