The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården receives non-compulsory school boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården is a newly established operation that currently consists of four departments but will expand to five departments, totaling 33 places, in the coming year.

Job Description

We at SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården are now looking for a dedicated property technician to become part of our team. We are looking for someone with an interest in property maintenance who wants to contribute to our operation, which is of great importance to society. As a property technician at Gudhemsgården, you will be responsible for supervision and maintenance of the property and ongoing maintenance of inventory. The position also includes some work with IT. You will work with reporting issues to property owners, maintaining our service vehicles, and assisting with deliveries.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Education and experience as a property, operations, or maintenance technician. Alternatively, you have education in a craft profession such as plumbing, ventilation, construction, or electrical work.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
  • A valid B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Experience working with IT.

You should be flexible, able to change your planning, and prioritize urgent needs that arise.

In your daily work, you will come into contact with youth, which places demands on you as an adult role model, and therefore personal suitability is considered important in the hiring process. If you have experience working with youth with social problems and criminality in a closed environment, it may be an advantage.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
