The Role of ST Doctor

As an ST doctor with us, you will work with assessment, investigation, and treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. The work takes place in interdisciplinary teams around each patient, which includes psychologists, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists.

The ST position includes work within child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient and outpatient care, step 1 training, rotation in pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child and youth habilitation. There is an opportunity for placement at a university clinic at the end of the placement. Process supervision and clinical supervision continue throughout the training period in accordance with SOSFS 2015:8. Opportunities for research are also available.

The position is a 6-month temporary contract with the possibility of permanent employment.

Your Future Workplace

The regional clinic consists of three outpatient clinics located in Nässjö, Värnamo, and Jönköping. Together we have a regional inpatient unit, ward 61, in Jönköping that provides 24-hour care. In total, we currently have about 140 employees in various professions within the clinic providing psychiatric specialist care to children and adolescents in 13 municipalities in the region. Together we meet children and adolescents aged 0-17 with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions. We collaborate with neighboring care providers and other partners to provide the best possible care and treatment for children and young people in our region.

The clinic in Nässjö is located at Nässjö Health Center, about a 20-minute walk from the central station. We work in 2 interdisciplinary teams based on geographical division, which allows us to offer varied tasks and patient groups. The teams include doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and administrative staff. We are approximately 30 employees.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who gains energy from providing good care with efficient flows and quality. Someone who has a helpful spirit, enjoys working in interdisciplinary teams, can work independently but also sees the value of collaboration, both within the unit and across clinic boundaries and with neighboring care providers.

Basic requirements are:

• Licensed doctor
• Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• Driving license B

Previous experience working with children is an advantage.
