At the Environmental and Community Building Administration, we work with the entire chain – from long-term community planning to the daily operation of streets, parks, and nature reserves.

As an operations manager, you will be based in Ingarvet, where you will become an important part of our work to create a safe, sustainable, and well-maintained municipality.

Job Responsibilities

As the operations manager for the traffic and land area, you will play a central and important role in coordinating the operation of streets and roads in the municipality. Here, you will work comprehensively and strategically with planning, forecasts, calculations, and follow-up of operational activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring functional and standard requirements for street operations are current and adhered to
  • Monitoring and managing the finances for street operations, including cost calculations and forecasts
  • Planning, resourcing, and ensuring that ongoing operations function year-round
  • Conducting regular meetings with the operations organization and external contractors
  • Working with procurement and contracts related to street operations
  • Organizing winter road maintenance for street operations (readiness may be required)
  • Acting as an important point of contact both internally and externally

This role comes with financial responsibility, many points of contact, and a clear mission to create order, structure, and quality in operations. This is not practical work – the focus is on planning, follow-up, and management of operational processes.

Qualifications

The following are required for the role:

  • Experience in operations within streets, traffic, or a similar field
  • Experience with cost calculations and financial follow-up
  • Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Valid driver's license (B)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with procurement
  • Relevant experience from municipal operations or contracting
