Nodava AB is a municipal company tasked with managing and developing properties in the form of facilities and equipment for water supply, sewage management, and waste management, as well as related activities in the municipalities of Mora, Orsa, and Älvdalen. Nodava aims to provide its owners with qualified expertise and resources in water and waste management.

The role of Water Engineer is part of the Development and Projects department, which is responsible for providing strategic and long-term guidance to Nodava's owner municipalities in meeting development needs in waste and water management. As a Water Engineer with us, you will be involved in the entire chain from overarching strategic water planning to construction and operation within water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, and pipeline networks. At Nodava, we are preparing for future challenges and need to strengthen our team with a driven Water Engineer who will have a special task to contribute to the development of processes within water facilities in northern Dalarna. Your tasks

• Lead, conduct, and participate in investigations and projects within the water sector, with a particular focus on processes and inflow water.
• Follow up, evaluate, and document the status of existing water facilities and investigate the need for improvements, investments, and reinvestments.
• Coordinate, follow up, and participate in the development of self-monitoring programs, primarily within water treatment plants.
• Participate in the work (and, if necessary, perform analyses) on optimizing water treatment plants concerning regulatory requirements and energy and chemical usage.
• Identify and prioritize improvement measures for the organization's short- and long-term maintenance and investment plans.
• Assist in the preparation, follow-up, and updating of necessary facility documentation (such as operating instructions for water treatment plants).
• Assist in the commissioning and result monitoring of new equipment and ensure the calibration of measuring equipment at water treatment plants.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a university degree in water, process technology, or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way. You preferably have experience in investigations combined with a strategic approach where you consider the long-term consequences of actions. Good IT skills and an interest in the opportunities of digitalization are important prerequisites for success in this role. Experience in project management and an interest in environmental monitoring as a natural part of the work is also an asset. You enjoy working in a structured manner and thrive in a workday where independent work is combined with collaboration with others in various formations. You have a good ability to communicate clearly, well-formulated, and engagingly both verbally and in writing.

For the role, knowledge of facilities and processes is required, and it is also an advantage if you have knowledge in control technology and self-monitoring. If you also have problem-solving analytical skills and the ability to weigh complex information and various considerations, this is a role for you.

As the position involves travel within Mora, Orsa, and Älvdalen, a B driver's license is required.

The employment involves participation in security-sensitive activities. A passed security clearance without placement in a security class is a requirement before employment.

Your workplace is based in Nodava's premises in Orsa. The work is full-time. The position is a temporary position until August 31, 2026. Start date as soon as possible by agreement.
