About the Assignment

As a Strategic Buyer, you will be part of the purchasing organization and work with both strategic and operational purchasing processes. You will collaborate closely with design, production, project management, and commercial functions to ensure long-term supplier relationships and optimized purchasing flows. This role is suitable for you who want to combine strategic responsibility with operational execution in a dynamic environment.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for suppliers and build long-term partnerships
• Conduct supplier evaluations and risk assessments
• Send inquiries, evaluate offers, and conduct negotiations
• Develop and implement procurement strategies
• Contract work and management of cross-functional projects
• Target cost management and cost optimization
• Operational purchasing such as purchase orders and license renewals

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with experience in strategic and technically advanced purchasing who thrives in an analytical and structured role. You are communicative, relationship-building, and used to working in cross-functional teams. This role is suitable for you who want to combine strategic responsibility with operational execution.

To qualify for this assignment, you must meet the following requirements:

• University degree in industrial economics, purchasing, engineering, or equivalent experience
• Several years of experience in machinery purchasing or technically advanced purchasing
• Experience from qualified commercial roles
• Used to leading and communicating in cross-functional teams
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English

In this role, you will undergo a security clearance.

It is highly meritorious if you:

• Have experience from defense-related or security-classified industry
• Have experience in purchasing, contracts, negotiation, or project management
• Have good system skills, preferably SAP and Excel
• Have experience in indirect purchasing or complex technical procurements
