The Security Unit is located within the Operational Support Department and was established as a new unit at the turn of the year. In addition to the Security Unit, the department includes our supporting functions: HR, communication, finance, animal registration, service, customer service, and the legal unit. RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to use your expertise in the field of information security to contribute to a more robust Sweden?
The Security Unit at the Swedish Board of Agriculture is responsible for the agency's security, signal protection, and security protection issues. We are now looking for a security officer who wants to contribute to strengthening and developing the Swedish Board of Agriculture's work with information security. As a security officer in the Security Unit, you will work together with the unit's other employees and the information security manager to plan, implement, and follow up on the agency's information security work. The role is both strategic and operational and involves close collaboration with the operations, IT organization, and other support functions.
In the role of security officer, you will, among other things, plan, implement, and follow up on information classifications, risk analyses, and training within the information security area. You will also work with security protection, emergency preparedness, signal protection, and other security issues within the agency as an employee of the Security Unit.
Your tasks will include:
- planning, implementing, and following up on information security activities
- operational work within the agency's security area with a primary focus on information security
- planning and conducting training in the field of information security
- other tasks of the Security Unit, including security protection, emergency preparedness, signal protection, information security, and other security issues within the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in the role of security officer, we see that you are confident in your professional role and have a positive and unpretentious attitude. You work independently and in a structured manner, allowing you to plan and prioritize your work effectively. Your communication skills enable you to convey complex issues clearly and pedagogically, even to individuals without prior experience in information security.
You have a high security awareness and are meticulous in your work, with the ability to see details and analyze risks. The role requires good judgment, high integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.
You have relevant education from a university, post-secondary education, or comparable experience in applied work with information security and ISO 270001. You have knowledge of laws, regulations, directives, and guidelines in the field of information security (MSBFS, NIS/NIS2, GDPR). Since the work requires knowledge of laws, regulations, and international governing documents, the ability to handle Swedish and English in speech and writing is required.
If you have previously worked with security issues, signal protection, and have experience in conducting training and exercises in the field of information security, preferably from public administration, we consider this an advantage.
Swedish citizenship is a requirement for this position as it involves placement in a security class. The employment is subject to a successful security screening with a background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
