The wing is also responsible for monitoring Swedish airspace around the clock, all year round, and leads the Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. You will be part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the geopolitical situation and Sweden's NATO membership.

About the Unit

Sweden's entry into NATO has created great opportunities for F 16, where the garrison serves as a strategically important point in NATO's logistics network. The main tasks of the 163rd Garrison Battalion are to support assigned units, lead the mobilization process, provide host nation support, and conduct training/capability development.

  • The Garrison Company handles tasks related to, among other things, command, mobilization, medical care, and operational support.
