Mother Tongue Teacher/Study Guide in Swahili

The mother tongue unit in Hallsberg municipality is now looking for a mother tongue teacher/study guide in Swahili, at 50% during the spring term 26.

You will be employed at the mother tongue unit but will serve at one or more school units in the municipality. You will work with mother tongue teaching and/or study guidance for students in primary school. As a mother tongue teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating mother tongue teaching. As a study guide, you help and support students with a mother tongue other than Swedish in their daily schoolwork. You collaborate closely with the students' subject teachers who are responsible for the student's teaching, planning, and follow-up.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree or equivalent education and/or experience to teach Swahili. We view positively if you have study guide training. Additionally, it is an advantage if you have previous experience working as a mother tongue teacher and/or study guide.

It is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic computer skills. You may work at several of the municipality's schools, and therefore a driver's license and access to a car is a must.
