Assistant in Psychology
Örebro University is shaping the future through internationally competitive research and offers education that ranks among the best in the country. We are now seeking an assistant in psychology at the Department of Behavioral, Social and Legal Sciences. As an assistant, you will be an important part of our ongoing journey with a focus on research and education.
Background
The Department of Behavioral, Social and Legal Sciences (BSR) offers education at both undergraduate and advanced levels in criminology, psychology, law, and social work. BSR also conducts prominent research and doctoral education. The unit for social work offers the social work program, the health and medical care social worker program, and independent courses at both undergraduate and advanced levels.
Job Responsibilities
The job responsibilities consist of administrative tasks in two research projects focusing on young people and their feelings, thoughts, and engagement regarding the global climate crisis. This may involve working with the project websites, liaising with various project partners, handling online survey data, and inputting data from paper surveys. To some extent, the work may include participating in data collection in schools (survey data).
Qualifications
To be eligible for the position of assistant, you must be admitted to education at either the undergraduate or advanced level. Additionally, we prefer candidates who have studied psychology.
We are looking for someone who has shown interest in educational and student issues during their studies. We emphasize your personal qualities and seek someone who can work independently, has good collaboration skills, is service-oriented, and can prioritize tasks effectively.
Great attention to detail and the ability to focus on specifics are required for certain tasks, particularly in data management.
Information
The position is 30% for 9 months (2025-02-01 to 2025-10-31) with a possibility of extension. Salary will be in accordance with the local collective agreement.
Assistants may be employed for one year at a time, with a maximum total employment period of three years for an assistant.
