Production Planner for One of the Nordics' Largest Tray Manufacturing Companies

Formpress is a family-owned company and one of the largest manufacturers of serving trays and coasters made from molded birch veneer in the Nordics. We take pride in our products, our craftsmanship tradition, and the business we have built. Our entire production is gathered in our beautiful premises in Färjestaden on Öland, where we manufacture and deliver high-quality products to customers both in Sweden and internationally. With us, quality, sustainability, and community are in focus – and now we are looking for a production planner who wants to become a key person in our continued development.

About the RoleAs a production planner, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and following up on production to ensure that customer orders are delivered on time, with the right quality, and in an efficient manner.

The role is central and involves close collaboration with both production and marketing. You will be the contact person for order placers and sales to ensure that customer needs are met, while also planning for a smooth and well-balanced production. You will work closely and report to the production manager. The role is both operational and analytical – perfect for you who want to combine structure with problem-solving and collaboration with many parts of the business.

Your Main ResponsibilitiesIn the role of production planner, you will, among other things:

• Plan and prioritize production based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity.

• Coordinate with the production manager and team leaders to optimize the use of machines, personnel, and tools.

• Adjust planning in case of changes such as machine stoppages, material delays, or absenteeism.

• Work in the business system Monitor to effectively follow up on capacity utilization, delivery precision, and resource utilization.

• Participate in improvement work related to planning and production within the framework of our quality and sustainability efforts.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with experience and/or education in production planning, preferably within the manufacturing industry. You are structured, analytical, and thrive in a role where planning meets practical implementation.

To succeed in the role, you need to:

• Work in a structured and analytical manner, easily create an overview and prioritize.

• Be communicative and collaborative, enjoying a role with many contact points.

• Be solution-oriented and confident in making decisions even when circumstances change.

• Have a genuine interest in production and improvement work.

We Prefer That You Have

• Experience or education in production planning or a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

• A good understanding of production flows.

• Experience working in ERP systems (business systems), preferably Monitor G5.

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Practical Information

The employment is full-time, permanent, with a probationary period as agreed.

Working hours are office hours, Monday to Friday, flexible time. Start date is to be agreed upon in spring 2026.
