About us:
The Habilitation Center Söderstaden is a unit within Habilitation & Health, an organization within Region Stockholm with special expertise in disabilities.
The unit specializes in intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, and diagnoses within the autism spectrum. We create conditions for the patient to function in the best possible way in their daily life.
We work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, psychologists, and special educators. We serve residents in the districts of Farsta, Skarpnäck, Enskede-Årsta-Vantör, and the municipalities of Nacka and Värmdö.
At Habilitation Center Söderstaden for Children, approximately 36 employees work in bright and airy premises, conveniently located near tram, bus, and subway.
Job Responsibilities:
In your role as a physiotherapist with us, you will primarily work with children and adolescents with movement disabilities/multiple disabilities, but you will also meet patients with intellectual disabilities and autism. Your tasks will include functional assessments, providing treatments, assistive device evaluations, follow-ups, and the establishment of action plans and care plans.
As a physiotherapist with us, you will also work with information, advice, guidance, collaboration, and training for networks and staff. We offer a good work environment with varied tasks and excellent development opportunities, as well as an individually tailored introduction.
The tasks are varied and require flexibility, as you will not only meet patients at the habilitation center but also in their local environment.
All interventions provided are documented in our journal system TakeCare. We work systematically according to a structured care process and use habilitation programs as decision support when planning interventions.
We are looking for:
We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist with experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities.
You are an initiative-taking person, interested in development, and engaged in finding solutions based on the patient’s focus. You enjoy working both independently and in a team and take responsibility for planning, developing, and driving patient work forward in a structured manner.
You have good computer skills and experience working with digital meeting tools, as some meetings are held remotely. You need to have the ability to collaborate and be driven by collegial learning, as you work closely with other professional categories in your unit.

The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during hiring.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
